Booking Terms and Conditions

1. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. 
2. A deposit of 40% is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable. 
3. Prices are subject to change without notice. 
4. Cats and rabbits must be up to date with vaccinations and have flea and worm treatments before their stay. Proof will be required upon check-in.

By making a booking with Sweetnest, you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

Cancellation Policy

At Sweetnest, I understand that plans can change, and I strive to accommodate my clients to the best of my ability. However, due to the nature of the business and the limited availability of accommodations, I have established the following cancellation policy :

• Cancellation Period: Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled check-in date to receive a full refund of any deposit paid. Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled check-in date will result in forfeiture of the deposit. 
• Deposit: A non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of booking to secure your pet's accommodation. This deposit will be applied towards the total cost of your stay.
• Refunds: Refunds for cancellations made within the specified cancellation period will be issued in the original form of payment.
• Early Departures: No refunds will be issued for early departures or unused portions of the reservation. The full cost of the originally booked stay will apply.
• Changes to Reservation: Changes to your reservation, including modifications to the dates of stay, must be made within the cancellation period and are subject to availability.
• No-Shows: Failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date without prior notification will be considered a "no-show" and will result in forfeiture of any deposit paid. The full cost of the reservation will still apply. 

By booking a stay with Sweetnest, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the cancellation policy. 

Admission Conditions

At Sweetnest, the health and safety of all pets in my care is my top priority. To ensure the well-being of all guests, please read the following admission conditions carefully :

1. Vaccination Requirements :

All pets staying at Sweetnest must be up-to-date with the following vaccinations :

1. Rabbits
   • Rabies
   • Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease 1& 2 (RHD)
   • Myxomatosis
2. Cats
   • Rabies 
   • Feline panleukopenia (Feline distemper)
   • Feline viral rhinotracheitis (Feline herpesvirus infection)
   • Leukemia

Proof of vaccination from a licensed veterinarian must be provided upon check-in. Vaccination records should include the date of administration and the expiration date for each vaccine.

2. Quarantine Policy :

For the health and safety of all pets in the facility, all new arrivals will undergo a mandatory quarantine period of two days upon check-in. During this time, pets will be closely monitored for any signs of illness or communicable diseases.

3. Health Screening :

All pets will undergo a health screening upon arrival at Sweetnest. This includes a visual inspection for signs of illness, such as coughing, sneezing or lethargy. Any pets exhibiting symptoms of illness may be denied admission to prevent the spread of disease.

4. Flea and Tick Prevention :

All pets must be on a regular flea and tick prevention program. Proof of current flea and tick prevention treatment may be requested upon check-in.

5. Special Needs and Medications :

If your pet has any special medical needs or requires medication during their stay, please inform me at the time of booking. I will make every effort to accommodate your pet's needs and ensure they receive the necessary care. 

6. Emergency Contact Information :

Please provide up-to-date contact information, including two reliable phone numbers where you can be reached in case of an emergency during your pet's stay. 

By booking a stay at Sweetnest, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the admission conditions. Failure to comply with these conditions may result in denial of admission. 

What to Bring

When preparing for your pet's stay at Sweetnest, please ensure you pack the following items to help make their stay comfortable :

1. Food: If you do not choose the provided food from the hotel, please bring an ample supply of your pet's regular food to last for the duration of their stay. I recommend packing extra servings in case of unexpected delays. 
2. Medication: If your pet requires any medications, vitamins, or supplements, please provide detailed instructions and enough medication to last the entire stay. A supplement of 2 euro a day per administration of medication will be required. 
3. Comfort Item: Bring one comfort item from home, such as a favorite toy, blanket, or bedding, to help your pet feel more at ease in their new environment. 
4. Medical Records and Vaccination Certificate: Please bring your pet's vaccination certificate or vaccination record booklet with proof of up-to-date vaccinations. These records are essential for ensuring the health and safety of all pets in the facility. 
5. Special Instructions: If your pet has any special dietary requirements, feeding schedules, or behavioral quirks, please let us know in advance so that I can accommodate their needs. 

By bringing these essential items, you can help ensure that your pet has a pleasant and stress-free experience at Sweetnest.

At Sweetnest, I take the care and well-being of your beloved pets very seriously. I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for all animals entrusted to my care. Below are the key responsibilities I undertake as your pet's temporary caregiver :

1. Safety and Security: I maintain a secure facility equipped with appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of all pets. This includes secure enclosures, regular monitoring, and a top-quality alarm system to safeguard against unauthorized entry or emergencies. 
2. Health and Hygiene: I adhere to strict cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility to prevent the spread of disease and maintain a healthy environment for all pets. This includes daily cleaning and sanitization of living areas, bedding, food and water bowls, and common areas.
3. Exercise and Enrichment: I offer daily exercise and enrichment activities to keep your pet mentally and physically stimulated during their stay. This includes supervised playtime, interactive toys, and outdoor playtime if the weather allows it.
4. Communication: I maintain open and transparent communication with pet owners throughout their pet's stay. I provide daily updates on your pet's well-being and am available to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. 
5. Emergency: I hold a degree in veterinary nursing, ensuring expertise for handling first aid emergencies. Additionally there is a veterinarian located just a few houses away from the facility, ensuring quick access to professional veterinary care. 
6. Respect and Compassion: I treat all pets in my care with kindness, respect, and compassion, recognizing that each pet is unique and deserving of individual attention and care. 

While I take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet during their stay, it's important to note that pet ownership carries inherent risks, and unforeseen circumstances may arise. By entrusting your pet to my care, you acknowledge and accept these risks, and you agree that Sweetnest cannot be held liable for any unforeseen events or accidents that may occur.
